Challenge

The Airliner is the flag carrier and largest airline of Belgium, based and headquartered at Brussels Airport. It operates to over 100 destinations in Europe, North America, Africa and offers charter services, maintenance and crew training.​ Brussels Airlines has been seeking to optimise the work of their back-office operations.​ Finance and maintenance departments struggled the most with repetitive processes with high transactional volumes.​

Solution

Using Automation Anywhere as Robotic Process Automation platform we automated daily reconciliation process in finance department. In the maintenance department we created a bot who reminds suppliers about outstanding orders.

Outcome

Finance team was able to refocus the on value added activities and eliminated risk of human error and rework.​ Regular reminders to the suppliers allowed to decrease the amount of outstanding orders and therefore gain efficiency downstream.​
