Automation Center of Excellence.

Challenge

Q8 refines and markets fuel, lubricants and other petroleum products globally. The HQ for North-West Europe is located in Belgium. ​ While continuous improvement has been mentally adopted throughout the organization, support was needed to learn about, fully understand, develop and implement automation solutions.

Solution

We formed a Center of Excellence (CoE) for automation and launched a year-long automation program that was fully aligned with business priorities and departmental stakeholders. Together with the CoE, we worked out an automation strategy, governance structure and roadmap that allowed the business to track ambitions and progress made.

Outcome

Within the first year of the program, we automated ten business processes in Customer Service, Dealer Administration, Finance and Supply & Logistics. The result? We have freed up time for activities that are considered more valuable to the business and the person him/herself and created widely shared enthusiasm for the years to come. Additionally, satisfaction increased of those customers directly and indirectly supported by automation.

FlinQ has helped us to remove manual, labour intensive processes by simple RPA’s. This is creating efficiencies and RPA is now part of what we do.
